Venetian masks have a long and legendary history, as their journey goes back centuries. Deeds from the first written riddles about their creation and evolution date back to the 12th century - the holy hour of the numerous military forces defeated the Venetian Republic. Today's Venetian mask is a hallmark of Italy, and at the same time it is a cultural heritage of our people.
Valentina Tarnavski, the team of the Superintendent and Highly Important Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Ukraine, asked to become a member of the Kiev Club of Ambassadors' Friendships (ASCK) before the residence, or to inform representatives of different countries about the history of the world. This is a unique and well-known segment of Italian culture today.
The corn cob is even more destructive. Liliko Matsumoto, under the care of choreographer Ksenia Goryuk, looked at the guests with the lower protrusion of the Japanese ballerina, who creates light in Ukraine.
Mrs. Tarnavski asked Marina Lapa, a designer of the Ukrainian costume, to present the tradition and significant creation of Venetian masks, information about the recognition and use of skin products. Marina Lapa is a graduate of the Kiev National University of Theatre, Film and Television named after I.K. Karpenka-Kary, member of the Ukrainian theatrical community. The creative biography of the mistress is rich in the subject of her projects. Mystkinya has been creating masks and embellishments for over 20 years, working with designers, holding shows and master class children.
“The Venetian skin mask has its own history and meaning. For example, the “Doctor of Plague” mask (Medico della Peste) was worn by doctors during the epidemic. In this long-lasting dish, similar to a dzoba, they put various aromatic oils and zillya, taking into account that the stench protects against infection with the plague. The Bauta mask was considered ideal for high-ranking people who liked to anonymously go “in public.” And “Bauta Casanova” was worn, as the name suggests, by ladies’ men,” says mask designer Mrs. Marina. More about the history of masks in the new issue of “Diplomacy without Cordons”.
